This is one of the early prints the artist created taking an image fragment from a large painting. It is an early example of abstraction that the artist has used throughout his career. The intent is to draw the viewer’s attention away from the subject matter to focus on color, shape and form. This early abstract piece was based on a section of the garbage bag that appears in the large painting, “Rent Controlled Kitchen”.
